TAIPEI - Taiwan held a large-scale military exercises in the first after five years. President Ma Ying-jeou asked military personnel to be responsive in mengyikapi China's military buildup.

In exercise of the war, troops simulate the operation of Taiwan F-16 jets and combat ships, as they battle with Chinese forces. Ma also present and watched the war games held in the Penghu Island. Similarly, as reported by the Associated Press, Wednesday (04/17/2013).

Ma emphasized that Taiwan should strengthen its military defenses to build a credible deterrence strategy to confront Beijing. Taiwan's former Defence Minister had also reported that the country's missile build strength, but it was immediately denied by the government because it is considered to pose a threat.

Taiwan and China relations today can be expressed as a relationship "the most harmonious" that never happened. However, China still claims Taiwan as part of the country, and did not hesitate to threaten to invade the country.

The tension between Taiwan and China began to subside when appearing as Taiwan President Ma. Ma has always done a more conciliatory approach to the Land of the Panda.

China itself has not responded military exercises conducted by Taiwan. In general, China has always voiced criticism of the military exercises held by Taiwan.
