Russia: Syria Moves Terrorist Center

MOSCOW - The Russian government said that the crisis in Syria to change the country into a center of international terrorists. For Russia, amid the country's raging civil war became a magnet for terrorist groups the world.

"Transformation is happening in Syria turn it into a center of gravity of international terrorists. Thing is increasingly becoming reality," said a spokesman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Lukashevich, told FNA on Saturday (06/04/2013).

"This is a scary reality," he continued.

During the two-year civil war in Syria is still not showing a bright spot. Russia also supports the efforts of national dialogue to end violence in Syria.

"Russia will continue to try to solve the conflict in Syria," said Lukashevich.

Based on a recent study from the International Center for the Study of Radicalization (ICRS) showed that more than 5,500 foreign troops cross into Syria to join the war two years ago. The study showed 11 percent of the militants who enter Syria from Europe.

Since March 2011, Syria hit by the war between the government forces of President Bashar Al-Assad with the opposition forces that want Assad step down. United Nations (UN) said the death toll from this war is said to have reached 70 thousand inhabitants.

March became the bloodiest month for the conflict. Recorded approximately six thousand people were killed in a bloody battle that lasted.
